This New Coffee Shop in Dahye Has the Most Unique Decor We’ve Ever Seen

We’re honestly tired of minimalism and industrial-style coffee shops, so let’s put you on this new café in the heart of Beirut’s suburbs.

Located in Hay El Madi in Haret Hreik, the first thing you’ll notice at OUD is that it looks nothing like your usual café.

The first thing you’ll probably want a picture of is the booth that resembles an oversized teacup. Above it, a giant teapot mounted on the wall is pouring glowing strands of light into the cup. Mirrors framed with Persian-style carpets, a ceiling fan made with white feathers, warm lighting, and textured beige walls give the space its Middle Eastern charm.

With so many new cafés leaning towards the same minimalist interiors and neutral color palettes, OUD is a nice change of scenery. Instead of beige walls and understated decor, it goes all out with details that give the space its own personality.

It’s a refreshing change if you’re looking for somewhere that feels a little different from your usual coffee spot.

If discovering new coffee shops is your favorite hobby, then OUD deserves a spot on your list. You can stop by for coffee (obviously), but also treat yourself to a delicious breakfast. If you’re a traditionalist, you can enjoy one of their mne2eesh, but you can also go the sweet route and order a stack of fresh pancakes to balance out the coffee.

OUD is open daily from 10 AM until 2 AM, making it perfect for morning coffee runs or late night get-togethers with your friends.
