Long Nafaa lines and closures had everyone putting off their car registration, but we’ve got some great news.
The Ministry of Interior and Municipalities has signed a memorandum of understanding between the Vehicle Registration Authority (commonly known as Nafaa) and LibanPost. The agreement aims to streamline transactions, ease the load on Nafaa centers, and save citizens time and effort.
According to the Vehicle Registration Authority, starting Thursday, September 18, 2025, you’ll be able to complete the following services through LibanPost offices:
1. Transfer of ownership for private cars and previously registered motorcycles in Dekwaneh and Jounieh.
2. Renew private and public driving licenses.
Additional services will gradually be announced as they become available at LibanPost branches.
The Vehicle Registration Authority also reminded citizens that they can still finalize their paperwork as usual, either by visiting Nafaa centers in person or through an authorized legal representative.
In both cases, you still need to book an appointment in advance through their online platform: tmo.gov.lb.
