One of the many reasons Lebanese people love summer is the annual Hammana Cherry Festival, and it’s happening this weekend!
If you’re looking for the ultimate Sunday roadtrip, this is your sign to ditch the city head and head to one of Lebanon’s most stunning villages. From 10 AM until 7 PM, the streets of Hammana will be transformed into a massive, cherry-filled festival. Here’s what to expect this Sunday.
Perfect for a fun activity with friends or a picturesque getaway with your family, Hammana is serving up what we wish we could turn into a Sunday ritual.
You can stroll through lush orchards, hand-pick your own cherries, and feast on authentic local goodies in an atmosphere that perfectly blends traditional Lebanese heritage with fun summer festival energy.
Start off by hitting up the souk, where you can browse a curated selection of local handicrafts, artisanal mouneh, and plenty of unique cherry-infused desserts and treats that the village is most famous for.
Once you’ve worked up an appetite, head straight to the public garden for “Sofret Hammana,” where village locals will be serving up mouthwatering, authentic Lebanese dishes and traditional village recipes.
There’s a ton happening all day. Here’s how your Sunday looks:
