Haifa Wehbe Named Spotify EQUAL Global Ambassador

Don’t be surprised if you spot Haifa Wehbe’s face lighting up a billboard in New York City. The Lebanese superstar has been named Spotify’s EQUAL Global Ambassador for July.

The recognition places Haifa at the center of Spotify’s women-focused EQUAL initiative, which highlights female artists and supports greater visibility for women in music worldwide. As part of the campaign, Haifa appears on the cover of Spotify’s EQUAL Arabia playlist and is featured on a billboard in New York’s Times Square, bringing her music and influence to a global audience.

Haifa said the initiative reflects her belief in empowering women to overcome challenges and share their stories with the world. In her Spotify interview, she revealed some of her favorite tracks that celebrate and inspire women, including Woseltelha, Baddi Eish, and Hafdal.

She also shared that her favorite album is 30 by Adele, in case anyone was curious. We’re not surprised that the icon enjoyed the powerful vocals and heartfelt storytelling that Adele is known for.

With a career spanning more than two decades, Haifa remains one of the Arab world’s most recognizable pop stars. Her music (and fashion sense) continue to leave a mark on the entertainment scene all over the world.

Spotify’s latest recognition highlights her lasting impact and the continued global reach of Arab female artists. For more content like this, check out the #Lebanese Music section on our website.
