Crispy Cloud: Beirut’s Newest, Crispiest Fried Chicken Spot

Babe, wake up. A new fried chicken spot just opened in Beirut.

Why is Lebanon lacking with really good fried chicken spots? Over the past few years, we’ve only had a handful of genuinely good fried chicken, but here’s to hoping Crispy Cloud in Mar Mikhael is here to fill in that gap.

The vibe feels reminiscent of the Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs (2009) movie that some of us grew up watching. Crispy Cloud was actually delivery-only until very recently, when they finally opened a space for people to stop by and enjoy their bites in person.

We’re actually kind of obsessed with how the space was designed. Crispy chicken pieces shaped like clouds hanging overhead? Genius.

What’s on the menu?

Everything fried chicken.

You can chow down on perfectly seasoned chicken legs and giant chicken strips, or opt for their Cloud Kisses, crunchy chicken wings doused in your choice of sauce. They also have a number of fried chicken sandwiches and wraps to choose from, along with plenty of options for people with a high spice tolerance.

If you’re in the mood for a classic meal, we’d go for one of their latest drops: fried chicken legs with mashed potatoes, gravy, and a brioche bun. But if you’re more of a toum kind of person, then just go for their chicken strips with a side of spicy toum.

One thing we’re definitely going to try is their coleslaw. You can’t enjoy a fried chicken meal without some good coleslaw on the side. It’s the golden rule.
