Finding the ideal beach destination can sometimes be challenging; how do you reconcile budget with the desire for clean shores and decent service?

We’ve put together an updated list of the best free and cheap beaches in Lebanon for you this summer.

1. Nomad Beach, Byblos


With slouchy nomadic hammocks and comfortable beach chairs, this Byblos beach escape might just be your new favorite weekend escape. Pass by for a day of lounging by the sea or stay the night for an overnight break from the city that will leave you feeling refreshed.

2. Joining Beach, Kfarabida


A Kfarabida gem guaranteed to match the taste of all water bouldering lovers. Joining Beach rests among natural rocks, embellished with magical caves, clear water, and the occasional visit from turtles. Relax on the natural rocks after a meal with your friends and you’ll be tempted to strip down to your swimsuit and dive right in.

3. Colonel Beach, Batroun


The famous beer brewery also doubles as the perfect summertime beach destination. During festivals, the reef is open for camp lovers who like beautiful sunsets and crazy parties. 4. Nowhere Beach, El Heri


A hidden piece of heaven along El Heri’s shores, Nowhere Beach is the place to be this summer. Crystal blue waters, a soft sandy shore, swaying hammocks, and colorful chairs scattered are what makes Nowhere Beach the perfect little addition to your summer plans!

Entrance Fee: 15,000 LL on weekdays and 25,000 LL on weekends.


5. Tahet El Rih Beach, Anfeh


One of the most popular beach destinations for the past few years, Ta7et El Ri7 became known for its Myconian vibes. The simple blue and white architecture sits perfectly alongside the crystal clear waters while a variety of delicious seafood restaurants stand in line to satisfy your post-swim hunger.

6. Kaptn, Batroun



A trail leads you to the middle of the sea onto a wooden terrace situated on a protruding boulder. Seafood, invigorating drinks, and the sea right there waiting for you to jump in.

7. Isla Pebble Bar, Batroun


A local hangout with a tropical feel, Isla Pebble Bar stands out for its cute decoration and colorful sun-beds. Whether you’re looking for a nice swim and a prime tanning spot, or if you’re into dinner and drinks by the sunset, Isla attends to all your needs.

8. Tyre Public Beach


This is, without a doubt, the most perfect beach in Lebanon. The coast is gorgeous and sandy, the water is perfect and clean, and the administration is extremely friendly and organized. Though it may be a little bit far from Beirut, it is well worth the drive. Head down there on a sunny morning to be met with golden sand and colorful umbrellas, the best part? There is no entrance fee, it’s free! You just pay for what you order drinks/food wise.

9. Pierre & Friends


This notorious Batroun spot has become a favorite for most Lebanese people! You can enjoy the music and a gorgeous bar on the rocky shore – all for free entrance. Don’t forget to eat at the restaurant; time it right and you get to enjoy your deliciously fresh seafood with a killer view of the beach at sunset.

10. Ô-Glacée


This cool sailor’s school and beach bar is located in Batroun, and managed by the Lebanese Yacht Club. You get the benefits of a clean pebble and sand coast, as well as the chance to give your wallet a rest. It is free entrance, just pay as you order! Be sure to try their delicious food, including their fresh caught fish and Lebanese mezza.

Entrance Fee: Free for weekdays and 15,000 LL for Fridays and weekends


11. Benny Beach



Located in Chekka, in the North of Lebanon, this beach is somewhat of a hidden gem. The entrance fees are extremely low, and the coast is sandy and gorgeous. It is a terrific place to spend some low-key beach time with your friends and family.

Entrance Fee: 10,000 LL for adults; 5,000 for children


12. White Beach


Located in Batroun, this local treasure is clean, relaxed, and doesn’t overcrowd. The entrance fee is low and there is a restaurant so you can enjoy a lunch during your day at the beach.

Entrance Fee: 10,000 L.L for weekdays and 15,000 LL for weekends


13. Puncho Beach


Located on the sandy coast of Amchit is this beach with a long, long board walk elevated over the sea. You can perch your chair anywhere and as far out as you’d like, and jump in when things get too hot! So round up your friends and loved ones and enjoy a long day by the beach.

Entrance Fee: 15,000 L.L. on weekdays, and 20,000 L.L. on weekends


14. San Stephano Resort


San Stephano Resort is a small beach resort located at the heart of Batroun. With a pool and a beach on site as well as a restaurant, you can enjoy the piercing sunshine from within the waves or while munching on a delicious meal.

Entrance Fee: 15,000 L.L. on weekdays, and 20,000 L.L. on weekends


15. Rabbit Island


Just off Tripoli’s coast is an island that can’t be seen from the shore, and a serene 20 minute journey out into the water. Rabbit Island is surrounded by other small islands, and you can take your pick. You’ll find ice white sand and crisp blue water, and no matter how far out you swim, the cleanliness means you’ll always see your toes! There is no entrance, although the short boat ride will cost around 10,000 L.L. and you can come and go whatever time you want. Bring whatever you want with you to the island including food and drinks as you’ll be completely isolated from reality. The only things you can rent on the island is an umbrella and chairs, and a shisha. Head to Tripoli’s mina and you’ll find a dozen boats waiting to take you to this little piece of paradise
