Lebanese Minister of Energy: “Imagine life without electricity”

In what can only be described as a bizarre press conference, the Lebanese Minister of Energy Raymond Ghajar hit the screen to complain about the lack of electricity in the country.

Seemingly disconnected from his official role, the Minister posed several questions like, “can you imagine life without electricity?” to which we say, YES. We’ll ask you a counter question, have you lived in Lebanon for the past few years? We have had to deal with choppy to little to no electricity for over a decade, a problem that your ministry has failed to resolve.

Additionally, Ghajar stated that we are, “headed towards darkness,” seemingly upset by this reality. What has this minister or this government done to avoid this very scenario? If you are claiming that you have no control over the situation, why would you accept this position?

Another episode of ‘woe is me’ by Lebanese officials.
