Lebanese Innovator Makes Sewage Covers From Recycled Plastic

Over the past year, Lebanon has witnessed an increase in several forms of theft that have extended to public property to include stolen manhole covers and electric cables and metals. Recently, drain covers have also been added to the list, as people tend to steal and resell this scrap metal for profit.

Out of this dangerous activity comes a spark of positivity. An eco friendly waste management company called Cedar Environmental headed by CEO Ziad Abi Chaker has shared a new and innovative method to replace the stolen metal sewage covers by creating covers made out of recycled single use plastic.

This incredible initiative can majorly help with the road safety hazards resulting from the metal theft crisis, in addition to aid in the manufacturing of cleaner and cheaper alternatives. Kudos to the Cedar Environmental team for this inventive and eco-friendly solution.
