While we truly dislike bashing on any of the “change MPs” who were a welcome addition to the parliament unlike the dinosaurs that have been roaming Nejmeh Square for decades, they sometimes make it a little bit difficult.
As you may know by now, MPs Najat Saliba and Melhem Khalaf have been SLEEPING AT THE PARLIAMENT in some bizarre form of performative protest for a month now.
Despite Speaker Nabih Berri cutting power from parliament, the protesting MPs plan to remain in the building till the next presidential election session.

On Sunday morning, they sprinkled on some additional cringe by decorating the parliament with Lebanese flags and candles…

The press release that accompanied this cringe-fest read: “Today, and at this tragic moment, we light up the parliament with candles to say that we, from the parliament, can light up the country, break through the wall of darkness and defeat injustice. We light a candle, perhaps it illuminates the path of those who have strayed from the path of salvation.”
Okay. That is all.
