Born in Beirut, Lebanon in 1981, RANIA M. TAWFIK is from Iraqi origins.
She graduated from The National Film School of Denmark in 2011 with a critically acclaimed experimental multi-camera documentary called “A Light Breeze”.
Her film “Kiss My Pain Away” was supported by International Media Support & The National Film School of Denmark, and screened at Copenhagen International Documentary Film Festival.
The Eternal Night, her experimental documentary about blind people, won the Silver New Horizon at Al Jazeera International Documentary Festival in 2006.
Her graduation short documentary, “A Light Breeze”, 2011 was selected for the Dubai Film Market.
