Shattered Faces Exhibition at Janine Rubeiz Gallery

The Janine Rubeiz Gallery is hosting an exhibition by artists Ahmed Kleige and Sandra Issa called “Shattered Faces.”

Two artists, a Syrian and a Lebanese, gather to offer their views on the Arab region through this exhibit. It is a silent dialogue on the state of the world and the anxiety it generates.

Ahmed Kleige focuses on the people affected by the conflict; men and women who are unaware of the negotiations and political issues surrounding these conflicts. Kleige’s work is a cry against injustice and oppression.

Sandra Issa filters through media and news sources to producer her artwork; she appropriates images conveyed by newspapers and reinterprets the stories through a personal angle, where the emphasis is given to the human being and his/her situation in the world, beyond anecdotal evidence.
