Adventures in Lebanon is taking you to Douma to participate in this amazing experience before the end of harvest time in Lebanon.
Douma is known for its delicious olive oil, due in part to its high altitude and pleasant weather. Participants will witness the harvest process, pick olives and watch the pressing process to create the oil. Participants will later taste it, along with saj and other village food prepared especially for Adventures in Lebanon. The journey ends with a tourist visit to Douma.
Meeting point: 8:30 a.m. at Futuroscope in Sin El Fil Facing the Hilton Hotel next to Home Furniture.
Price: $40 per person including transportation in a bus, insurance, harvest guides, olive oil extraction and pressing techniques, saj lunch and soft drinks, oil bottle gift and the tourist trip to Douma.
There is an added restaurant lunch menu of mezze and grills at an additional $10 (total $50) for those who prefer restaurant food over saj.
