From the creators of “Hip Hop is Bigger Than the Occupation,” Ayman El-Sayed the Lebanese Ether and Nancy Mansour aka Harrabic Tubman, host the “Existence Is Resistance” radio show, live all the way from New York City to the Beirut studio.

With hip-hop at its core, the EIR show brings together music and social commentary, teaching resistance through the arts. It features a whole host of interesting weekly guests from hip hop legends such as Immortal Technique interviewed live on air to activists and cultural figures.

This Monday, EIR will host Eyad Hourani, one of the stars of award-winning Oscar-nominated Palestinian film, “Omar.” He’ll be interviewed live in the studio, on how he got into acting, his training at the Freedom Theatre in Jenin and how it built to his eventual role in “Omar.” He’ll also speak about the power of the arts as a tool for change and resistance.

Palestinian rapper Moody Kablawi from Haifa, Palestine, will also be interviewed. The discussion will center around the question of normalization. He plays EIR’s game “Guess That Track” an English song translated into Arabic.

Tune in on Monday night Beirut city time 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. For the NYC listeners that’s 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
