Seven of Beirut’s Best Christmas Parties

It’s that time of year again, the trees are lit, and the streets and shop windows are glistening with decorations and holiday cheer.

Whether you’ve been naughty or nice, there’s a ton of fun stuff going on in Beirut this week so you can festively party non-stop over the course of the next few days. Here’s a look at seven of our favorite events.

Music 4 Sara

It’s hard to forget about someone like Sara El Khatib. On September 5, the fourth-year pharmacy student passed away after a battle with cancer. The folks ‘4 a Cause’ teamed up with promoters, musicians, and DJs to put together an epic charity party to honor her memory and donate to children battling cancer.

Funk Ain’t Noise Pollution

The Beirut Groove Collective has made quite the buzz this year on the party scene, and they’re not done yet. For the sixth year, the BGC is throwing an epic Christmas special starring German funk legend Jan Weissenfeldt. The party will feature an eclectic variety of DJ sets from deep funk and boogie, to afrobeat . The night will also feature local Beirut Groove Collective DJ founders and residents: DJ Spindle aka Ernesto, Heavy G, and ESC from Venus.

Santa’s Soiree at Radio Beirut

“Not sure what Baba Christmas has been slipping into his beer (he’s the biggest importer of Almaza to the North Pole by the way), but after a night delivering gifts to all you boys and girls, he’s doing another all-nighter at Radio Beirut. He’s filled his sack full of records and grabbed the first taxi to Beirut. We don’t blame him, where else in the world would you want to spend your Christmas Day?”

Christmas Party at The Junkyard

If the party is half as creative as the venue, then you’ll regret missing this one.

Walkabout Christmas Party

What: Walkabout Christmas Party

Nothing says Christmas like the mesmerizing sound of Djembeh and Dunun. Walkabout Drum Circle wants to give back a little something to family, friends, fans and all the people they collaborate with by throwing them a festive – and loud – Christmas party for free. So make sure you head to Yukunkun this Thursday.

Christmas is Not for Us Fundraiser at The Grand Factory

What: Christmas Is Not For Us Fundraiser

You’re going to party no matter what this Christmas, so might as well be for a good cause. Part of the proceeds from this event will go to Al-Younbouh, a rehabilitation center for people with special needs

Drink, Eat and Be Merry at Coop D’Etat
