About Ziad
Palestinian songwriter and vocalist born in Lebanon. Her singing career started in 2001 with Jafra band, a band promoting Palestinian Songs in Beirut, but later opted to follow an independent path. Amal studied Classical Arabic singing at the Lebanese National Higher Conservatory of Music, and has collaborated both as a vocalist and songwriter with local and international musicians, namely, Ahmad Qaabour (Lebanon) and Opgang 2 (Denmark).
In addition to music, Amal is also an illustrator and cartoonist known for her cartoon character Meiroun, named after her family village in Palestine which was ethnically cleansed in 1948. Thanks to Meiroun, Amal won the first prize of the Hanzala cartoon contest commemorating the Palestinian Nakbah (The Cultural Resource, 2008). Her illustrations feature in Assafir newspaper (Lebanon) and other media and social platforms.

About Wessam
Founder and conductor of the first ūd orchestra in Syria (sada – echo). He participated in several oriental music festivals and performed as a solo ūd player with various orchestras and ensembles. Wessam taught ūd and oriental singing at the School of Music at University of Baath – Syria.
Head of the Oriental Music department at the Arab Institute (Mohammad Abdel Karim) Ministry of Culture. Graduated from the Higher Institute of Music in Damascus, and holds of a Masters degree in Music Education from University of Damascus.
