6 Egg-cellent Breakfasts In Lebanon

Image via travelingwiththyme.com

I love eggs for breakfast. Scrambled, poached, boiled, sunny side up, with bacon, and almost every other form and combination there is. Notice I used the word “almost” because sometimes people tend to get too creative with their eggs and pair them with something like chicken feet or fried crickets. No, thank you.

Back to the good kind of eggs for breakfast, here are some of my favourite egg dishes in Lebanon:

1. The Beazbee

You can try the Full English Breakfast the which comes with beans, sausage, tomatoes, mushrooms, and bacon – it’s super delicious! But the ultimate favourite at The Beazbee is the Eggs Benedict Royale (poached eggs atop English muffins with a layer of smoked salmon, topped with Hollandaise sauce). If you’re not a seafood lover, then you can always get the regular eggs benedict or swap the salmon for bacon!

2. The Grill Room at The Four Seasons Hotel

At The Four Seasons Hotel lies another favourite of mine; yep, you guessed it, Eggs Benedict. They do it perfectly at The Grill Room for breakfast. They are also probably the only ones in the country who serve Steak & Eggs on their menu – so give that a try too. Oh and while you’re on your binge fest, try one (or four) of their chocolate chip cookies! I must warn you though, they’re addictive. So chewy and soft and chocolatey and… I’ll just stop here, just go.

3. Frosty Palace

Frosty Palace happens to be one of my favourite places to go for brunch. They’re more famous for their burgers, but if you wake up a little earlier, you get to indulge in a delectable brunch starting 11am. The presentation is a little off, but their Eggs Benedict is a must-try – with smoked salmon!

4. La Petite Table

The newly opened La Petite Table in Dbayeh is the perfect spot for breakfast, not just for their indulgent chocolate bread pudding (featured here) or their flaky buttery croissants (featured here), but also for their delightful egg dishes! The chorizo combo was my favourite. Check out my review of the whole breakfast experience.

5. Indigo on the Roof at Le Gray Hotel

I recently raved about their decadent Brie & Bacon Burger, but that’s not all they have up their sleeve! The Eggs Benedict at Indigo on the Roof is just as delicious (I order mine with smoked salmon in case you haven’t caught on yet).

6. Boulevard Beirut

The Lebanese Breakfast at Boulevard Beirut comes with 2 eggs (scrambled or fried), markouk thyme rolls, baguette and Lebanese bread, labneh, foul, jams, butter, and vegetables. It’s a very reasonable price too! It’s a great place to chill in the morning with the sea by your side – be sure to reserve a window seat to get a nice view!
