In business for nearly a decade, People restaurant is easily the most popular lunch spot in Downtown Beirut. The place offers gourmet dishes that blissfully combine local and international ingredients.
The restaurant’s interior was recently redesigned, shedding its trademark shades of whites to acquire a softer, homier feel. Chairs are upholstered in soft camel-colored leather that is also used on sofas and on a long bench spanning the entire length of the restaurant. Warm taupe tones – on the parquet floors and the bar’s marble counter-top – combine with extensive use of glass to provide both a cozy atmosphere and an endless sense of space.

Located on the forth floor of Aishti’s specialty store and offering romantic views of Beirut’s lovingly resorted period buildings, the restaurant serves up its own version of light yet elaborate French fare reinterpreted to suit Lebanese and international palates.
