Lebanon Elected As Vice President Of UN General Assembly

Some good news for a change!

Lebanon has been elected as one of the new Vice Presidents of the United Nations General Assembly which will be convening for its 75th session this year.

Editorial Purpose: We are sharing this piece of content to spread some good energy and shed light on great local initiatives.

Lebanon’s top UN diplomat, Amal Mudallali, was voted into the position on Monday and immediately took to Twitter to share the good news.



Traditionally, 21 vice presidents are elected for each year-long UNGA session to represent all areas of the world.

Alongside Lebanon, other countries that won the vote include Jordan, Libya, Paraguay, Monaco, Cameroon, and more.
