Unique food creations go viral every so often and chances are, we have an article for each one. Some we love, some we’re not too crazy about, here are 25+ interesting food creations we’ve written about.

PS. some of these creations are probably no longer available. Not sure if that’s a good or a bad thing. We also ordered them in a way we felt made sense.

All the shawarma creations

1. Sushi shawarma

Who remembers when people were lining up at Maestro Shawarma in Hamra to try their shawarma-fied sushi?

2. Shawarma burger

Lafet Shawarma in Batroun expressed their love for shawarma by turning it into a burger. Honestly, this is a creation we can get behind.

3. Croissant shawarma

The notorious croissant shawarma from Al Doha that people had so many options about. We’re just happy to piss off the French <3

4. Fattet shawarma

Do you love shawarma enough to try this Abou Sobhi creation?

5. Shawarma pizza

Another creation we can get behind. We can imagine how good a shawarma pizza would taste, so hopefully Goodies still makes this.

6. Shawarma tower

Yes. This was THE shawarma creation of the year. Tiger’s Diner never disappoints, and we’re honestly still obsessed with it.

And falafel also had its time to shine (bas ma ktir, haram)

1. Falafel pizza

Not sure how we feel about this Tomatomatic falafel pizza…

2. Falafel burger

But this falafel burger from Sandwich w Nos might make more sense. Don’t take our word for it.

All the ice cream creations

1. Zaatar ice cream

The iconic Zaatar ice cream. Yes, we’ve tried it and we love it.

2. Cerelac ice cream

Cerelac ice cream from Gelato Show was the talk of the town for months. But it was actually pretty good!

3. Kiri ice cream

Gelato Show tried making a comeback with Kiri ice cream, and it was good. But it didn’t hit quite like the cerelac ice cream.

4. Booza 3a janerik

Send this to someone who makes loving janerik their entire personality.

5. Gardenia ice cream

Maybe we’ll just stick to smelling gardenia.

6. Bouza 3a koussa

Yeah…no comment.

7. Labne w zaatar ice cream

If anyone says you can’t have ice cream for breakfast, show them this.

All the knefeh creations

1. Cronefeh

When Sea Sweet started making this croissant knefe, it blew our 2015 minds.

2. Knefe burger

As part of their Ramadan menu, Lody’s introduced the knefe burger as a post-iftar dessert.

3. Vodka-infused knefe

The most Lebanese thing ever. Back in 2016, Stolichnaya Lebanon was suggesting you pour some vodka into your knefe.

4. Knefe 3al fa7em

Every knefe lover knows Kanaf in Sodeco. Did you know they make knefe 3al fa7em?

5. Knefe waffles

Even though there are more bizarre creations on this list, we were kind of caught off guard by this one.

6. Knefe ice cream

L’abeille D’or has some of the best knefe in the country, so you can imagine how excited we were when they started stuffing their knefe with ice cream scoops and chocolate.

7. Daoukiyeh knefe

Everyone was obsessed with this daoukiyeh knefe by the daoukiyeh masters themselves, Al Daouk Sweets. Definitely worth a try.

All the baklewa creations

1. Baklewa donuts

XnDoughs is always coming up with new creations. Who remembers the baklewa donuts they made for Ramadan?

2. Baklewa pizza

Made by the coolest pizza joint in Beirut, Santo Pizza Bar. A great dessert that fits their concept, and it tastes delicious.

3. Baklewa ice cream

This needs to make a comeback for the summer.

And the miscellaneous creations we don’t know where to put

1. Chocolate dipped janerik

Jebne w bateekh is the ultimate treat. We think this combo by Saj Stories is criminally underrated.
