This Lebanese Olive Oil Just Won Gold at the London International Olive Oil Competition 2026

Lebanese olive oil is adding another international award to its growing list of achievements.

Maison Mazak, an olive oil producer based in Chabtine, Batroun, just won a Gold Medal at the 2026 London International Olive Oil Competition (LIOOC), one of the world’s leading competitions for extra virgin olive oil.

The award recognizes the brand’s organic extra virgin olive oil, which was evaluated through blind tastings conducted by an international panel of experts. Judges assessed participating oils based on quality, purity, balance, and overall sensory characteristics.

Maison Mazak traces its roots back more than 135 years and has remained family-run for four generations. It produces its olive oil from organic groves in North Lebanon and manages every stage of the process, from cultivation and harvesting to extraction and bottling.

According to the company, the goal has always been to preserve the quality of the olives while highlighting the distinctive character of Lebanon’s terroir.

The international recognition places Maison Mazak among a select group of award-winning producers from around the world and shines a spotlight on the quality of Lebanese olive oil on the global stage.

At a time when Lebanon continues to navigate ongoing challenges, achievements like these serve as a reminder that local producers continue to earn recognition for their craftsmanship, agricultural heritage, and dedication to quality.
