Lebanese Newspaper Al Mustaqbal To Stop Publishing In Print

Starting February 1st, 2019, subscribers and readers of Al Mustaqbal newspaper will not receive the crisp folded volume in person.

After publishing for 20 years, the board of the newspaper has decided to end their print media and publish exclusively on their online platform due to what a press release described as “changes witnessed by the press industry in Lebanon and around the world, and the continuous decline in sales and advertising revenues” of the print media.

Al Mustaqbal joins others like Assafir and al-Anwar who stopped publishing a print volume last year, in what seems to be a global trend of shifting to exclusively digital.

#جريدة_المستقبل رفعت رايتها البيضاء أمام التحولات والتراجع في المبيعات والمداخيل الإعلانية، وقررت وقف إصدار نسختها الورقية بدءا من 1 شباط والتحوّل إلى جريدة رقمية بالكامل.
للأسف #الصحافة_الورقية في لبنان تخسر جولة جديدة من معركة البقاء وتلفظ أنفاسها الأخيرة. هذا واقع لا مهرب منه.
