It is with deep sorrow and a heavy heart that we inform you of Michele Hajal’s passing.
Michele first made an appearance on Lebanese screens during Miss Lebanon 2016, and later made headlines when she was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma shortly after her engagement at 24 years old.
After several failed attempts of chemotherapy in Lebanon, Michele was to receive a new curative treatment (CAR-T Cell) in the US, which kick-started the
#FightWithMichele campaign to help fund her treatment abroad.
Eventually, and with the help of many, Michele was able to travel to MD Anderson Cancer Center where she received her treatment.
Sadly, the illness recurred and Michele passed away on Monday, June 17.
We salute Michele for her courage and bravery. Her strength and positivity played a huge role in bringing attention to her story and bringing people together in support of her cause.
She will always be remembered for her beautiful soul. Our deepest condolences to her friends and family.
