Sexologist Dr. Sandrine Fights Back At Pierre Rabbat’s Sexist Show

In case you missed Pierre Rabbat’s shameful interview with Dr. Sandrine Atallah last Sunday, here’s a recap for you.

Certified psychosexologist Dr. Sandrine Atallah was invited onto Rabbat’s show 3a Gheir Kawkab only to find herself and her work severely ridiculed. In discussing matters of sexual health and reproductive education, Rabbat and his deeply ignorant cohosts showed no respect with misogynistic comments and dumb, low-level jabs that reminded us of Middle School bullies.

Possibly the most offensive moment of the interview was when washed up singer Yuri Mrakadi informed Dr. Sandrine that her voice was “mam7oun” – to which his horrible cohosts (we’re not going to bother learning their names) chimed in to add, “eh it’s sexy”.

Rabbat’s co-hosts then mocked and sexualized Dr. Sandrine for using official terminology for genitalia.

Washed up singer Yuri Marakdi, one of Rabbat’s co-hosts, also ridiculed Dr. Sandrine’s work as she explained the importance of using scientific terminology to improve the sexual education discussion in the region. Upon mentioning the term “mahbal” [vagina in Arabic], Marakadi foolishly told the doctor that “no one uses this word” and “if I hear this word, I’ll run”. Rest assured, Yuri. NO ONE is trying to seduce you so please, by all means, keep running.

After seeing the backlash to the interview, Pierre Rabbat posted his lame apology:

Dr. Sandrine did not accept this bogus apology, stating that many measures could have been taken to avoid the situation.

Naturally, Twitter had tons of comments on the matter:

If you have been keeping up with Rabbat’s problematic interviews, this is not the first time he has shamed his guests as he and his “co-hosts” also bullied Tony Kattourajust weeks ago, something they also eventually apologized for.
