Tannourine Water Pulled from Shelves After Dangerous Bacteria Found

Post-edit: The Minister of Health has allowed Tannourine to resume production and distribution after further testing confirmed that their products meet specifications.

Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health has officially suspended Tannourine Water Company from bottling water and ordered the immediate withdrawal of its products from the market after lab tests revealed contamination with dangerous bacteria, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa. This type of bacteria can affect your skin, blood, lungs, gastro tract, and other parts of your body.

The ministry emphasized that this decision aims to protect public health and will remain in effect until the company identifies and resolves the issue, and its samples meet safety standards once again.

Consumers are urged to avoid drinking Tannourine water for now and to report any suspected health issues related to the brand.
