Yesterday, Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health officially suspended the operations of Tannourine Water Company and ordered the immediate withdrawal of its products from the market after lab tests revealed contamination with harmful bacteria, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa. This type of bacteria can affect the skin, blood, lungs, digestive system, and other parts of the body.
Of course, the Lebanese didn’t let the news slide, especially since many believed Tannourine had the cleanest water in the country and refused to drink anything else. Ever since the announcement, Twitter (now known as X) has been flooded with hilarious reactions.
