Amid all the run clubs popping up across Lebanon, a new social club is teasing its debut this summer, and it’s built around the idea of social walking.
The Walk Club aims to bring people together for one-hour group walks that end with coffee, drinks, and conversations, depending on whether it’s a morning get-together or post-sunset meetup.
Launched this month on Instagram, The Walk Club’s first walk is set to take place in the village of Dhour Choueir on Thursday, July 16, 2026 at sunset. Walkers of all ages are invited to explore a cultural route through the village before stopping for a drink at one of its local spots.
The new social club hopes to encourage people to meet new faces, stay active, discover villages and cities across Lebanon, and support local businesses along the way. The idea comes from a simple belief that walking is one of the easiest, most accessible, and low-stress ways to move, connect, and socialize.
You can follow The Walk Club on Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook for updates on upcoming walks and registration details. You can also vote on what days you want the walks to take place.
Since spots are limited and registration is required, participants can reserve their spots by emailing thewalkclub.lb@gmail.com.
Honestly, a walk club sounds much better than a run club…maybe that’s just us. Share this with someone who hates running! Make sure to check out the #Sports & Fun section on our website.
