Celine Dion may not have performed in Lebanon yet, but it looks like the Lebanese have officially made their way into her heart. In a sweet exchange with a Lebanese fan, the singer was told just how much she is loved in Lebanon.
“Celine, the Lebanese love you so much and are waiting for you to come to Lebanon,” the fan told her. “I love Lebanon too,” Dion replied, following up with her love for baba ghanoush. But there was one important recommendation Dion apparently hadn’t heard before: Fairuz.
You can watch the interaction here:
When asked if she had heard of the Lebanese icon, Dion admitted that she hadn’t. “You have to listen to her,” the fan insisted, calling Fairuz “the most beautiful voice after yours.”
It was a short exchange, but we love the idea of introducing one legendary vocalist to another. Dion has had a long-standing connection with Lebanese fans, although she has yet to perform in the country. In 2020, she was scheduled to perform at the Beirut Waterfront as part of her Courage World Tour, but the concert was canceled due to the situation in Lebanon.
Now, after years away from the stage, Dion is making her major live comeback in 2026. She is returning to the stage in Paris this September for a new concert residency, marking her first concert series since her health struggles forced her to step back from touring.
