Lebanese Designer Salim Azzam’s Collab With Cartier Is Breathtaking

Cartier has teamed up with Lebanese designer and visual storyteller Salim Azzam on a collection of handcrafted pieces for their Bodrum store that bring the Maison’s world together with the centuries-old art of hand embroidery.

And yes, Cartier’s famous panther is involved.

One of the most striking pieces from the collaboration is a hand-embroidered charm created exclusively for Cartier by Azzam and skilled artisans. Through intricate stitching, the famous Cartier panther comes to life like never before.

A Stitch of Lebanon

For Salim Azzam, embroidery is much more than decoration. Raised in the Chouf mountains, Azzam grew up surrounded by the women of his village and the traditional embroidery practices passed down through generations. His eponymous label, founded in 2016, was built around preserving these crafts while giving them a contemporary voice. Today, his atelier works with more than 60 local embroiderers and artisans around Lebanon, and he routinely participates in regional fashion and design events.

So while the setting for this latest project is Bodrum, there’s a little piece of Lebanon woven into it.

From Bodrum, With Love

The collaboration also includes an exclusive embroidery kit, designed by Azzam in dialogue with Cartier and created specifically for the brand’s Bodrum store. The kit gives visitors the chance to experience the slow, meditative art of embroidery themselves, turning a traditional craft into something personal and hands-on.

It’s a collaboration that makes sense beyond the obvious luxury factor. Cartier brought the heritage and the name; Azzam and his artisans brought the hands and the patience to turn it into embroidery, one stitch at a time.
