Zuhair Mrad Drops Exclusive Collection With ALDO, But Will It Be Available in Lebanon?

Lebanese fashion designer Zuhair Mrad recently launched an exclusive collaboration with Canadian footwear and accessories brand ALDO.

The 20-piece capsule collection spans footwear, handbags, jewelry, and eyewear. It brings Zuhair Murad’s signature design details into ALDO’s more accessible range.

The selection includes platform sandals, slingback heels, embellished evening bags, shoulder bags, statement jewelry, and sunglasses. You can browse the collection here.

In a bid to introduce Mrad’s work to a much wider audience by making it more accessible, the collaboration translates elements of his signature looks into everyday accessories and footwear. Prices range from $40 to $300.

Back in September, Elie Saab announced a collaboration with fast-fashion retailer H&M, which received a mixed reaction from Lebanese audiences.

Many questioned the partnership, arguing that it cheapened the designer’s luxury image while offering little to Lebanese consumers, given that H&M closed its stores in Lebanon years ago.

This makes us wonder: Will the Zuhair Mrad x ALDO collection be available in Lebanon?

The collection is launching across approximately 25 markets, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and several Middle Eastern countries. Apparel Group, which operates ALDO franchises across parts of the Middle East, is also involved in the collaboration’s regional rollout.

However, Lebanon’s ALDO stores are managed by a different franchise operator, Retail Group Lebanon, which lists ALDO among its brands. This means that the collection’s involvement with Apparel Group does not automatically confirm its availability in Lebanese stores.

At the moment, however, there has been no confirmation that the collection will reach Lebanon, so local shoppers may have to wait for an announcement from Retail Group Lebanon.
