6 Survival Games For Your Daily Dose Of Adrenaline

There’s more to gaming than meets the eye. It’s really all about strategy (and not dying five minutes into the game), so we’ve got a list of some of the most insane survival game must-tries!

1. Outlast

Imagine you’re a journalist investigating a psychiatric asylum where murders have taken place. Being trapped in a ward with a bunch of psychos is in and of itself gut wrenching, but the game gives you just the right mix of jump scares and running for your life.

P.S. if you’re not familiar with Operation Paperclip, you’re gonna want to read up on it for this game. A little history really gives it a quality advantage.

2. Little Nightmares

Yes, the characters look cute, but don’t be fooled. The plot of this game is not one to underestimate. It seems pretty straightforward: little kids escaping a monster-infested vessel. Simple, right? Not really. You’ll be encountering some creepy enemies…and remember, little kids don’t hold weapons.

3. Resident Evil 7: Biohazard

If you’ve played any of the previous games, you’ll notice this one shifted quite a bit. The game doesn’t really count as horror (in my opinion), but it gives you one hell of an adrenaline rush. The main character is on a search for his wife who has gone missing, and all the evidence points to a grotesque plantation in Louisiana.

4. Alien: Isolation

If you’ve watched the classic Aliens vs. Predator, you’re going to enjoy this game. You’re going to need a lot of stealth for this survival game. Who wouldn’t want to be stuck on a spaceship with man-eating aliens?

5. Among the Sleep

A creepy game from the point of view of…a toddler. Quite an interesting take on chill-inducing plotlines, and if you like Little Nightmares, you’re going to enjoy this one.

6. The Last of Us

Top pick of the list! The age-old story of an infectious virus ravaging the world and only one person has the antibodies to save mankind. However, the story is a rollercoaster (yes, there will be crying).

Plus, a game that challenges sexist stereotypes? We’re here for it.
