Lebanese Overseas Voters Campaign To Be Heard

Expat voting rights are currently being deliberated, as it appears that there is a conflict among Parliament members regarding the representation and participation of the Lebanese diaspora for the upcoming 2022 elections.



Some are arguing to give overseas voters the right to elect only 6 representatives in Parliament, while other parties wish to completely deprive expats of their right to vote in the upcoming elections, sparking further outrage.

The hashtag #المغترب_كمان_لبناني has been trending for a couple of days on Twitter, as many users are sharing their thoughts on the matter. Some are even encouraging expats to fly to Lebanon for the purpose of taking part in the elections that will be held on May 8, 2022. Here are some highlights:
