ByBus Transportations: The Public Transportation Service You’ve Been Waiting For

Ever since the Lebanese government cut fuel subsidies, many citizens have been unable to afford transportation. In an attempt to propose a possible solution to this problem, a new modern public transportation project called ByBus was launched in the Jbeil district this October.

Here’s how it works:

There are 55 bus stops covering most of the villages in Jbeil.

ByBus buses offer 8 daily rides: 6 lines from villages to main bus stops in Jbeil, one line dedicated to moving within the city, and a last one from Jbeil to Beirut.

Transportation fees are calculated according to the distance traveled by the passenger: the trip starts at 7,000 LBP which includes the first 5 kilometers, with 700 LBP added for each additional kilometer.

Payment is not in cash but rather via prepaid cards. These cards can be purchased at the Jbeil bus station or from the villages’ shops. The passenger scans his/her card on the bus upon their entry and exit, and the tariff is automatically deducted from it. Wi-Fi services are also available in all the buses.

You can now finally enjoy a less stressful and more affordable ride in ByBus modern buses, all while contributing to a better environment!
