Featured in the latest segment of the Beirut Jam Sessions, Oak’s single There Must Be A Reason, is absolutely lovely.
Armed with nothing but a guitar and a smile, guitarist and singer Allen Seif strolls around Sunday morning Beirut among the browsing shoppers, honking cars and dozens of migrant workers at a Filipino market enjoying their day off. Singing – and rather convincingly – about why he should be your lover, Seif’s performance is met with giggles and clapping that leaves you feeling charmed.
One of my favorite of the Beirut Jam Sessions, There Must Be A Reason stands out among the rest because of it’s tribute to the migrant workers of Lebanon. And really, everyone should be a part of feel good happy music.
If you haven’t had your fill of Beirut Jam Sessions yet, I totes recommend checking out Emilie Gassin & Elie Ramly’s version of A Little Bit of Love below. Chillax breezy music for chillax breezy peeps.
