Sandmoon Debuts New Music Video from Upcoming Album

A familiar face in the local scene, folk rock group Sandmoon are back with a new music video for a track called Home, off their upcoming sophomore album of the same name, due to be launched on November 30 at Art Lounge.

The video, directed by Selim Mourad, is vividly shot and tells the tale of a mysterious woman found lying unconscious on the shore next to a father and his young son, who bring her back to their house, much to the displeasure of the man’s wife. The woman also has flashbacks to her youth, playing with her grandfather in a room full of antique clocks; a time and place she felt at home.

Lead singer Sandra Arslanian told Beirut.com “the idea for this video was to make something different from the usual video clip. By making a short film, we wanted to break the codes a bit – at least in Lebanon, make an artistic statement.”

“Selim is a young and talented director. He is also very emotional. I think he really ‘felt’ the song and was able to translate it in ‘moving’ images,” she added.

Few details on the November 30 show have been released yet, but keep checking back to our site for more updates on the event. For more information, check out Sandmoon’s Facebook page.
