Free Haircuts In Front Of Beirut’s Central Bank This Wednesday

Weeks ago, Central Bank governor Riad Salemeh said there would be no capital control in Lebanon, a statement that was almost immediately followed by capital control being imposed in various forms on accounts. Since Salameh had also mentioned that there would be no compulsory “haircut” on accounts – protestors are beating bankers to the punch AND have decided they’ll be giving out free haircuts (actual haircuts) in front of the Central Bank in Beirut.

Organizers have called for hairdresser to join in on the metaphorical protest, and offer free haircuts to participants!

So, would you like a free haircut? Head to BDL on Wednesday anytime between 3:30 PM to 6 PM.
