Clashes Renewed Between Politically Affiliated Parties At USJ

Another day, another fight.

Student clashes have been reignited at USJ Huvelin as the university undergoes student elections.

Politically affiliated groups broke into another fight earlier today with several injuries reported this time. Videos of the brawl were shared to social media, giving a shameful impression of those who are supposed to be “the future” of the country.

Yesterday, conflict arose between the same student groups over tensions stemming from university elections, as often happens on an annual basis.

This year however, political groups are in competition with fierce independent candidates who took the win in LAU, AUB, and RHU, proving that change is here, even if it is small scale.

It’s absolutely abhorrent that educated students are still physically fighting for the sake of their leaders, knowing very well that they’re bound to end up unemployed or working at a low-paying job with a currency that’s crashing.

But hey, at least “el za3eem” is doing well.
