Objectives:

Course Objectives
●Describe the purpose of a Quality Management System and explain the 8 principles of Quality Management.
●Explain the purpose, content and inter-relationship of ISO 9000, ISO 9001, ISO 9004 and ISO 19011.
●Interpret requirements of ISO 9001 in the context of an audit.
● Describe the roles and responsibilities of auditors and lead auditors.
●Plan and conduct an audit in accordance with ISO 19011.
●Report the audit, including writing valid, factual and value-adding non-conformity reports.
●Undertake audit follow-up activities evaluating the effectiveness of corrective action.
●Pass the individual continual assessment and the IRCA exam.

Who should attend?
Any delegates who already have some knowledge of Quality Management Systems according to ISO 9001, and are likely to carry out audits (internal audits, supplier audits or certification audits) as an auditor or a lead auditor and want to have their skills qualified to ask for registration with IRCA

Day 1
●Introduction to the course, the aims and objectives, rules and continuous assessment
●Module A – essential knowledge
●Module B – audit standards
●Module C – introduction to & preparation for audit

Day 2
●ISO 19011:2002, Type of Audits, Duties of the Audit Team & Auditee and Audit Scope
●Audit process and methods
●Audit Preparation (audit plans and audit check-lists)

Day 3

●Roles and responsibilities of an auditor/lead auditor.
●The objectives of an audit.
● Module D – carrying out the audit & reporting the findings
●Audit & Auditing Techniques
●Presentations on the Performance of the Auditors
●Reporting audit findings and closing meeting

Day 4

●Module E – post audit activities
●Module F – leaning consolidation

Day 5
●Review of the complete course including additional learning consolidation exercises (self assessed by the delegates)
●Module G – Accreditation and Auditor
●Registration schemes
●Module H – examination
