Lebanese Wrestling Champ Earns Lebanon Its First Silver Medal At Asian Games 2018
In a major win for Lebanon, 23-year old Lebanese-American wrestler Domenic Abounader earned Lebanon its first podium at the Asian Games 2018 currently taking place in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Abounader was awarded the silver medal after a fierce competition with his Iranian opponent, Hassan Yazadani, in the Men’s Wrestling Freestyle 86kg Final.
He was then advanced into the Gold medal match of the 2018 Asian games.
On his Instagram page, Abounader expressed immense pride in representing his home country in the games.
