Lebanese Protestor Passes Away After Clashes In Tripoli Last Night
Heartbreaking.
A 26-year old protestor has reportedly passed away this morning, succumbing to the bullet wounds he sustained during the violent clashes that took place in Tripoli last night between citizens and the Lebanese Army, as confirmed by his sister.
He was identified as Fawaz Fouad Samman, and was one of many angry protestors who took to the streets in Tripoli against the skyrocketing USD/LL rate, devastatingly increasing prices, and terrible living conditions. They mainly targeted bank institutions, deeming them responsible for the country’s current economic state.
According to local media, around 39 people were injured during the clashes.
May his soul rest in peace.
