Raided Warehouse Exposes Expired Chicken From 2016

Last night, the Minister of Health Hamad Hassan alongside customs forces raided a warehouse in the Metn town of Zakrit that had been supplying supermarkets and restaurants with copious amounts of expired meat and chicken.

Some of the product that was uncovered was found to have expired back in 2016.

The Minister of Health said on the matter, “This is cancer. The violations are clear, and the perpetrators must be severely punished.” We sure hope so.

It is unbelievable that people would gamble with the health of others in this horrific manner. As we navigate economic crises, skyrocketing unemployment rates, a rapidly depreciating currency, hospitals going broke, the public sector collapsing, and hundreds of private companies shutting down, it is only salt in the wound that we also have to deal with scandals that affect our health in the most disgusting of ways.

You can watch the bust as it unfolded in the video below:

Will you be buying chicken any time soon?
