New Alfa And Touch Price Lists

Days ago, Ogero released their new prices and bundles for DSL and Fiber Optics internet connections, and today mobile providers follow suit.

Despite the fact that it may seem as though prices have been slashed by A LOT, old prices were settled at a rate of 1,515 LL, while new services and bundles are to be settled using the Sayrafa daily exchange rate. For reference, this rate is 24,600 LL on the dollar today, while the parallel or “black market” rate is 37,400 LL.

For example, a postpaid line with a 10 GB mobile internet subscription could cost 400,000 LL as a base excluding tariffs and other services.

This decision was made during the cabinet’s final session before it went into caretaker status. Despite this being necessary for the survival of the telecommunication sector, these prices make mobile services unattainable for so many who have been hard hit by the economic crisis and banking constraints.
