Nod Your Head To Monstrous Vocals And Meteoric Riffs This December

Attention grown-up metalheads and young rebels: you may want to dust off your old Lebanese metal CDs and start growing out your mohawks because the oldest active Lebanese Metal bands are ready to rock again!

Formed respectively in 2000 and 2006, Kimaera and Nocturna have fully cemented themselves as musical pioneers who fought off the stigma and reignited the way the middle-eastern public perceives heavy metal genres. Despite discrimination, alienation, and the absence of funding, they continued to grow, releasing a total of five albums and throwing concerts both regionally and internationally, in countries like Turkey, Ukraine, Tunisia, and the Czech Republic.

As part of Zoukak’s Sidewalks Festival, Kimaera and Nocturna will be performing live in the biggest metal event the local scene has witnessed in years, sharing the stage with two rising Lebanese bands, Borrowed Time and Prominentia who will be filling fans’ ears with a lineup of unreleased tracks. The “INVICTVS” concert is set to take place on the 2nd of December at Concrete 1994 in Sin El Fil.

Kimaera released its latest album “IMPERIVM” back in March of 2022, with theme songs that drew inspiration from the timeless glory of ancient Rome. The album stands as a soundful tribute to the group’s late frontman, Jean Pierre Haddad, who passed away at a tragically young age before its official release, and commemorates his key role in spearheading metal culture in the middle east. But who will be carrying the heavy weight of transporting Jean Pierre’s legacy to audiences this December? We’re yet to find out!

What we can confirm is that Nocturna will deliver some epic Melodic Death tunes from their old “The Gates of Peirah” album – a product of sixteen years of dedication, alongside three new hits from their second upcoming album!

Rock fans who are lucky enough to be in the crowd will be experiencing one hell of a nostalgia-drenched trip down memory lane with melodic stops at contemporary acts. Can it get any more special than that? We don’t think so!

Early bird tickets are already sold out, but you can still purchase your regular or seated ticket (drinks included) online on Ihjoz or at the door.
