Association Of Banks In Lebanon Set On Fire Late Last Night
On the first night of what was deemed “the week of wrath” in Lebanon, heavy violence targeting banks erupted in Beirut.
Aside from the bank fronts and ATMs that were destroyed in Hamra, the Association of Banks in Lebanon was set on fire.
The Gemmayze building was filmed going up in flames, presumably by protestors in the area.
The events of last night were merely the tip of the iceberg, a reaction to the humiliating capital control measures that citizens had been subject to for weeks now.
