In the increasingly worsening economic crisis, we have seen prices rise beyond reason. With many photos of imported Nescafe (priced at 35,000 LL) and a box of Oreo Os cereal at 25,000 LL being shared online, we recently spotted one that truly shook us to our core.
One kilo of Snoubar Baladi (local pine nuts) is currently priced at 225,000 LL. We called two local roasters which verified this insane price.
Naturally, this prompted many jokes online:
