Three Lebanese Soldiers Killed During Raid In North Lebanon
Three soldiers from the Lebanese Army died late last night and a fourth soldier was seriously wounded during a raid in North Lebanon.
The raid was targeting a terrorist sleeper-cell, according to local news agencies.
The patrol from Lebanese Army Intelligence was attacked with gunfire and a hand grenade when it raided a house near the city of Tripoli in the Jabal al-Bedawi area, “Three servicemen were killed and one was severely wounded last night (Sunday) when an Intelligence patrol came under fire while effectuating a raid in search of fugitives in Jabal Beddawi locality, as indicated in a communiqué by the Lebanese Army”.
Police arrested the suspect this morning.
