Rumors Of H&M, Body Shop, Victoria’s Secret, And Others Exiting Lebanon
Just last month, we reported on the froze yoghurt chain Pinkberry closing all their branches in Lebanon by the end of the year. Before that, we reported on Adidas closing down their stores in Lebanon by the end of 2020.
Today, it seems we’ve all heard the upsetting news of multinational retail franchise operator Al Shaya deciding to shut down various chains they operate in Lebanon like H&M, The Body Shop, and Victoria’s Secret.
The news has not been confirmed by the company itself, which also operates major brands like COS, Clinique, Mothercare, and NYX to name a few.
Some even negated the news, saying they work for the company and have yet to hear of this:
Should they choose to close their operations in Lebanon, we can only imagine the devastating effect this would have on the 500 employees and their families.
