Every time we think it cannot get any crazier, Lebanon proves us wrong.
Over the past weekend alone, the country witnessed multiple explosions and numerous fires across different areas – happenings that have sadly become normalized. People lost their lives, others were injured, and many were in fear as raging fires neared their homes.
Here were the main headlines from this weekend:
A diesel tank exploded in a crowded residential area in Tarik El Jdide, Beirut, killing 4 people and injuring many more, including children.
Raging wildfires erupted across Lebanon and immediately spread due to dry winds.
Fires were reported in Chouf, South Lebanon, Mount Lebanon, and Akkar.
A gas tank exploded inside a closed shop in Achrafieh, Beirut, killing one person.
A gas tank exploded in Jiyyeh, South Lebanon injuring 4 people.
A gas tank exploded inside a car in Tripoli, North Lebanon. No injuries reported.
