Parliamentary Consultations Postponed Because Our Politicians Can’t Be Bothered

Late Wednesday night, President Aoun announced that the parliamentary consultations to assign a new prime minister would be postponed until Thursday, October 22. The consultations were supposed to take place this morning.

A statement from the presidency said the rescheduling is meant to address “difficulties that need to be resolved”. This is what they do. They paralyze the country and hold our lives hostage while they figure out how to further divvy up the pie.

Remember that while our people are dying at the doors of hospitals, begging for medicine at pharmacies, stockpiling food that is running out, begging for petrol at stations…they are just thinking of how to get one more cent in their bank account.
