Lebanese Company Anghami Relocating To Abu Dhabi

In a message posted on his Twitter account, the co-founder of the popular music app Anghami Elie Habib announced that they would be moving their headquarters to Abu Dhabi.

Anghami launched back in 2012 as the first legal music streaming service in the Arab world out of its previous headquarters in Jal el Dib. It grew to cater to an impressive 55 million users and is seen as an example of successful tech startups in Lebanon.

Habib made a promise that the Beirut office will never close, yet the decision to relocate the headquarters to Abu Dhabi would allow the app to be in a city that “invests in their team”.

Amid a horrifying economic crisis that has no end in sight, Lebanon is suffering from a brain drain like no other.
