According to Lebanese State Security, local distributors HOLDAL Abu Adal has been stockpiling a whopping 200,000 cans of baby formula.
In anticipation of subsidies being lifted, many distribution companies have been actively withholding product from the market in order for them to sell at higher prices. Simply criminal.
State security issued a fine, but many are wondering if this is enough punishment for such a crime.
Baby formula, along with other necessities like Panadol, have recently gone missing from pharmacy and supermarket shelves across Lebanon, with many parents becoming increasingly desperate to find milk for their toddlers.
Unfortunately, it seems as though cartels rule this country.
